i promise to be better... at blogging.

Well the good news is that i found my blog again! It had been such a long time i forgot where is was.

Mission Update: I have my plane ticket for Ecuador I leave Feb. 6th till May 4th. It's so close I can't wait! I am almost done with raising my funds. I still have a few things that i need to get before I go, like getting international health insurance and bed sheets! I am most worried about my Spanish as time ticks. So please pray that by the grace of God my Spanish will be good enough to communicate with actual humans.

Shockingly when I return from Ecuador I will work at CPBC for the summer and then move back to IL in Aug.

sorry that is is so quick but i wanted to post something.

Missions Moment

Wow it has been such a long time since i have posted. But camp has now started and life of camp is busy busy. This past week was Sr. High week and during the top ten count down on Friday night I realized that my last week on mainland staff was over. It was very sad, I had not expected it...I was totally sucker punched. The next four weeks I will be off traveling on some trips :)

Today I will be speaking at Grace Cov during the missions moment. I am a little nervous, so please pray for me. It's been a little crazy preparing for the our first trip of the summer and the missions moment. In fact I should be doing some last minute stuff to make sure everything is ready.

I also apologize for not having any pictures yet but they will be up soon...well soon as in when I get back from the canoe trip.

God Bless You All

First Blog

Well this is my first blog and i'm pretty sure that no one knows I exist on here but I wanted to start one to keep people updated with my missions trip to Ecuador.

So if you are reading this you may or may not know that I have been accepted to serve in Quito, Ecuador with International Teams here is the website if you want to know more http://www.iteams.org/index2.shtml I will be leaving in Jan 09, God willing of course and I will be serving at El Refugio Retreat center. It is basically what I do now (being an intern @ Point) but in Spanish. Here is the exact description from the website: Hacienda El Refugio: A 320 acre training and retreat center 30 minutes from Quito. We use a blend of outdoor adventure and nature to build and equip leaders and to expose people to God.

Currently I am busy sending out support letters, trying to make meetings, and learning Spanish. These are my three main prayer requests. My Spanish is very poor and I can not figure out for the life of me how to get Spanish Words typed on the computer.

Well this is enough blogging for me till next time
